FRANCO CORSI

Born in Carrara, in Tuscany (ITALY) where he began his artistic training, studying with Erna Bonk, Principal of the Royal Ballet in Copenhagen (DANISCH), in hers school in Viareggio; soon he is noted for his artistic talents and was admitted to the “Balletto di Toscana” by Cristina Bozzolini and continues at the “Opus Ballet” both in Florence (ITALY);

Contributed to his training and professional career choreographers as: Fabrizio Monteverde, Erna Bonk, Flavia Bucciero, Micha Van Hoecke, Christophe Ferrari, Matteo Levaggi, Yoko Wakabajashi, Corinne Lancelle, Marco Pelle, Daniele Ziglioli, Viktor Litvinov, Martin Muller, Mauro Astolfi, Adria Ferrali, Rosanna Brocanello, Roberta Fontana, Raffaele Paganini, Viktor Litminov, Paul Chalmer, Franco Miseria, Silvia Martiradonna Anthony Heyl, Max Luna III, ...
After Florence, Milan and Rome decide to travel abroad to get in touch with other realities: in Germany, where he studied and worked at the “Mousounturm” in Frankfurt Am Main, wins hearing in the Rottherdam Dance Academie (Codarts); in Belgium at the “Yantra Studio” and “Badblumenthal Company”; moves successively in France Off Jazz in Nice, he attended seminars at the Studio Harmonic and Centre du Marais in Paris before landing in the United States where he studied at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, the Ailvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Steps, Peridance and Studio Louis, here has the opportunity to come in contact with dancers and choreographers such as Luigi Facciuto (founder of Jazz technique), Dudley Williams, Elizabeth Roxas, Melanie Person, Ana Marie Forsythe, Jeff Amsden, Gregory Livingstone.

 

Dancer for the "Ensemble" of the famous international choreographer and director Micha Van Hoecke, for which he also served as soloist.

Soloist and Assistant Choreography for the "Movimentoinactor DanceTheatre" directed by Flavia Bucciero in artistic residence at the Fondazione Theatre Verdi in Pisa;

Dancer for "Imperfect Dancers" by Walter Matteini, NoGravity Dance Company Emiliano Pellissari in Rome, GBO Gruber Ballet Opera of Paris.

He also danced for "Oplas" Perugia, "Lyricdance Company", "Emox Contemporary Ballet" in Florence.
 

He’s a Freelance choreographer, the choreography as a second skin and a key element for being in need of Art, is engaged nationally and internationally in Choreography Author, choreographer for the Theatre Verdi and La Pergola in Florence, PAN of Naples, Theatre Ives Mountand in Montecatini Terme, Theatre Verdi in Pisa; delights in fusing together all his experience took place in the years of work and study, his technique is mainly, contemporary styling, with much curiosity at the European Tanz Theatre but with solid academic foundations, where the root of the whole choreographic construction there a strong emotional fabric, expressive and theatrical.

It receives major awards, for example:
* Special Mention as "New Choreographic Talent Emergent 2009" Teatro Nuovo in Torino;
* Overall winner in a choreographic contest with "Useless Sacrifice" (tribute to Martha Graham);
* Won the Summer Dance in Italy 2010 and 2011 with the choreography "Chiaroscuro" and “Canone Inverso”;
* Receives Award by his City reserved for citizens who have distinguished themselves at national and international level in a socio-cultural profitably, commitment and devotion;
* "Inside / Ouside" solo-performance presented at the “Biennale Dance” in Venice in the evening at the Theatre Candiani in Mestre;
* Debut his creation for the Movimentoinactor DanceTheatre Company "Tales of Humans", at the Volksroom Theatre in Brussels (Belgium);

+Create a pièce for the International MILANO EXPO 2015 for the famouse Singer Ella Armstrrong;
*  "Roma Choreography Award 2015" with the Pièce "Till death do us part" organized by the National Academy of Dance in Rome;

One of the few Italian dancers invited for the audition for Wuppertal TanzTheatre von Pina Bausch, will participate in the days of hearing and remains as one of the most beautiful and important experiences of his career;

 

 

In 2015 Create his own company "CROMA danceProject" in Roma;
In 2015 his creation “Stanze” debut at the Theatre Greco in Rome for one month.

in 2016 create “ki-asmo” for the Show “BOLERO” by White Cloud Opera for Theatre Olimpico in Roma end for the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.

He is currently a dancer for the "White Cloud Opera" by Pietro Gagliardi (Rome), the first Company of GYROTONIC® method by Juliu Horvath in the world;

Dancer for Movimentoinactor Company Flavia Bucciero (Pisa);
Dancer for AEM Dances Anna Mastrangelo Historical (Rome);

Graduated GYROTONIC® Trainer, he works at the "White Cloud Studio" in Rome.
